The £&.C. Government Employees Union (BCGEU) says the Socred-appointed board of directors at BCIT refuses to negotiate 2 contract that should deal with the issue of pay equity. ‘The BCGEU has asked the provincial government to order the direcitcrs to resume bargaining. Labor Minister Moe Sihota said his ministry would take a more active role in the strike but not in- tervene in negotiations. Should school strikes go on indefinitely?
