North Shore YMCA
this summer as
challenging programs
and casual employment
opportunities abound.

Perhaps the most exciting
and rewarding new program
for teens is the development
of a-teen centre and casual
employment service. ° The
YMCA... has actively
recruited work for teens
from various businesses and
people in the community,
giving the teens the op-
portunity to learn a variety
of skills and earn some
money.

The participants in this
program are also actively
involved in creating their
own place in the YMCA
Inglewood Centre, by
converting an old cafeteria
into a comfortable meeting
spot. e

The centre is now in need
of furnishings —- pool tables,
Ping pong tables, chairs, etc.

these North Shore teens will
visit Fredericton with the
hopes of developing an
awareness for how others
live in Canada.

Volunteer opportunities
are plentiful for those who
would like to develop their
skills or working with young

instructional classes in wind
surfing and dance.
