He joins team mate Brad Pursley (5.74m) to complete this outstanding field. P.C.C. mentor Tom Jennings predicts at least a new Canadian record on July 16. SPORTS BUSINESS REAL ESTATE owler Wins again CANADIAN Champion Lawn Bowler Nell Hunter of North Vancouver received a silver civic meal and a kiss from Mayor Jack Loucks, July 9, as numerous sup- porters in white sweaters from the North Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club looked on in council chambers. Hunter is the first two time winner of the City’s civic medal, presented in recogni- tion of athletic achievement by a citizen. She was the ‘Canadian Champion Lawn Bowler in 1977, a feat she repeated in August 1983. **A very fine athlete and a very fine citizen,’’ Loucks called Hunter. “‘“She’s a great gal, an honor to our community and we're proud of her,’’ he added. Mayor Loucks joked that he needed sunglasses to cut down on the glare from the profusion of white lawn bowling sweaters in the room. Harry Jerome was the first recipient of the honor, receiv- ing a gold medal in 1960 as co-owner of an international track record. Mayor Loucks named several other reci- pients, including 1974 Cana- dian Lawn Bowling Champ Muriel Holness. who is now-in Scotland. .
