Running back Morgan scored two majors to lead the Eskimos to a 20-0 romp over the Chargers last Sunday at Norgate Park. Morgan opened up the scoring in the first quarter by taking the ball over from 22 yards out on an cnd around sweep. Dave Culling con- nected on the kicked convert, Mark Davis scored the second major for Eskimos on an cight yard dive up the middle in the second quarter Morgan notched his second touchdown in the third quarter on an 18 yard run up the middle. Eskimos quarterback David Shera called an cx- cellent game, while Chad Henderson was the defensive standout. Henderson racked up two quarterback sacks and recovered one fumble to lead the Eskimos to a defensive shutout. Paul Lancaster also put in a solid defensive effort for the winners. Martin Bauchman and quarterback Greg McClure were the two Charger stalwarts in the game. In other GSL Junior Bantam action, the Stamps got a four touchdown effort from Kurt Larson to down the Vikings 30-6 Scott Mitchell added a fifth major and Mike Horvath ran back an inter- ception to round out the winners’ scoring attack. Horvath and John Buch- anan came up big on defense for the Stamps. In the only other Junior Bantam game played on Sunday, the Squamish Chiefs knocked off the Steelers 27- 0. GSL Flag ball got un- derway on Sunday with the Huskies edging out the Panthers 13-12. Ken McCormack scored twice and ran in one con- version to give the Huskies the edge. Lambert Payne scored two touchdowns for the Pan- thers. In the other Flag football contest, the Rockets blasted the Raiders 20-0.
