The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) plays a significant role - in fighting breast. cancer through research, education and: patient services. The Canadian Cancer Society contributes $2 million per year to breast cancer research through financial contributions to the Canadian Breast Cancer Research Initiative (CBCRI). The CBCRI funds progressive research projects that investigate 2 wide- spectrum of breast cancer studies including prevention, early detection, alternative therapics and quality of life. The formation of the CBCRI has succeeded in broadening the oppertunitics for breast’ cancer research, The Canadian Cancer-Society is a founding partner of the CBCRI, which has _ —funded-more than 173 different research projecis since 1993. “The.
