West Vancouver District oper- ations manager Barry Lambert said waste water from the site leaked into a ditch the district was dredging near the river. Lambert said the spill was the result of routine operations. “When our contractor cleaned out the ditch, he didn’t take the Proper precautions and we appar- cently ended up with a fot of each- ing in the Capilano River.” The landfall is located under neath Hugo Ray Park.
