As mentioned, the desserts available at the Grill are all made on the premises and are well worth sampling. We tried Cioppino ($13.75) and Stuffed Veal Chop ($14.95} from the Grill’s entree selection. And again the deft touch of chef Scott made both special. Cioppino, the great San Fran- ciscan celebration of seafood, came in a large fish-shaped bow! brimming with mussels, clams, prawns and white fish meat in a rich tomate-saffron stew. Thick chunks of toasted garlic bread ringed the bowl. It was an excellent rendition of a classic fish stew.
