Beginning March 13, motorists will be denied access to roads leading to and from the park immediately south of the bridge during peak periods. The southbound exit will be closed in the morn- ing, and the northbound in the afternoon. Inquiring Reporter asks people if they agree with the parks board’s decision. . Stretch class offered in A DEMAND for more stretch classes is the most common request heard on the North Shore fitness scene, says Wendi Lacusta, physi- cal fitness coordinator in West Vancouver. Everybody is asking for stretch classes to complement their regular sport or aerobics programs, says Lacusta. “Many women in our morning classes have been exercis- ing five days a week for 10 to 15 years. They are toned and healthy but less flexible than before. Loss Troe Up to 4 litres of of flexibility is a function of aging. These gals want to stay as limber as possible and now desire stretch classes to keep them that way,”’ she said. To meet this demand, a new stretch program will begin Monday mornings at the West Vancouver Recreation Centre. West Vancouver Parks and Rec- reation has acquired the instruc- tional skills of Kathicen Keller, a dancer, gymnast and advanced aerobics instructor. Keller, the past women's fitness director at Golds downtown gyi, has produced a host of dance entertainment shows at popular downtown night clubs. She has specialty training in Russian ballet and jazz dance and for two years danced for the Calgary Stampeders Football Club. She has also stud- ied kinesiology at SFU.
