WILKIE — May 9. 1981, Caroline
Edna Wilkie (nee Buck), widow of late
Rev. J.H. Wilkie. Mrs. Wilkie died 3
weeks after a fall in Brooks-Howell
Home tor Missionaries, Asheville.
North Carolina Burial was at

Mra Wilkie, though born in Penn-
syivania, spent most of her adult fife
a8 a missionary’s wite in india (as had
ner mother before her), for which
country and peopie she retained an
abiding aftection

Her husband's retirement in the
troubled post-war years led the
Reverend and Mrs Wilkie to settle in
West Vancouver in 1947, where the
couple enjoyed much love and
tuendship from the great range of
folks who came to know them
Reverend Wilkie died in 1972,

Cerotine was an active member of
West Vancouver United Church for
many years, and so filled with Love tor
God that even long after infirmities of
age made activity paintul, continued
to lead an adult Bible study group.
Her wide interests and reading made
her always an entertaining |. -Gom
Panton Holder of a Master's degree
in English Literature from WNorth-
Western University, she was also,
before arthritis made it impossibte, an
accomplished pianist deyeted to
Classical music

Right up to the last, her letters to
fnends everywhere disclosed an
untalling clarity of intellect sparkling
with optimism and characteristically ,
