leave home in their mid-teens to go and appren-
tice where the pro action is, the numbers are not
going to grow much.

Parents, including Lenarduzzi, who went to
England when he was 15 to get pro experience,
understandabiy are not enthusiastic. Bab’s son,
Ryan, is 13. Would he permit him to go a year
or two from now? “No way,” he says.

The Americans have found a solution. ‘They
made so much meney hosting the 1994 World
Cap, they had the means to start their own pro
