Canada Post began con- solidating second-class mail ser- vices in the main Vancouver office in January and compieted the job this week, according to corpora- tion spokesman Sharon Boykowich. Companies holding second-class mail registration numbers in North and West Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster and Coquitlam could, until the move, drop their mail at designated post - offices in their municipalities. Boykowich said the move was made because the personnel and computer and verification equip- ment required to handle second- class mail is concentrated in the main Vancouver post office. The move, she said, will streamline the handling of second-class mail.
