The appeal put out by the North Shore News touched many hearts, and the response was terrific. The West Vancouver Santa Claus Fund packed and delivered 217 food hampers along with many toy hampers for the children, Truly, the West Vancouver firefighters are caring people. Their willingness to help knows no bounds. We can all be proud of our fire department. They deserve our praise and thanks. Our willing voluntcers, especial- ly Mrs. M. Kilby and Mrs, Irene Caverly who were on hand every day, merit honorable mention.
