TO UPGRADE SKILLS

Free August college workshops

FOR STUDENTS who are
anxious about entering col-
lege, who want to upgrade
their skills, or who may not
have been to school for some
time and want to brush up on
their study habits, the
Achievement Resource Cen-

tre at Capilano College is of-
fering the August Count-
down Program — a selection
of free workshops on learn-
ing and study skills.

Two options are available
for students. The first is ARC
101 — a course: which in-

troduces students to the
essential elements of learning
skills. it is a six session work-
shop which will be held from
8:30 a.m.-12:30 August 14-16
and 21-23.

The second option is for
students to choose individual

workshops on various learn-
ing topics that can be selected
in any combination to match
their education needs. The
workshops that will be of-
fered in August are:

Time Management —
Tuesday, August 14, 2-6 p.m.

Repeats on Thursday,
August 23, 2-6p.m.

Study Skills — Wednes-
day, August 15, 2-6 p.m.
Repeats on Thursday,

August 16, 2-6p.m.
Reading Improvement —
Tuesday, August 21,2-6p.m.

Repeats Wednesday, August
22, 2-6p-m.
