Left without a left: recovering single-handed

WISED up on the brassiere thing. A gener-
ous-minded fan took the trouble to phone,
and as soon as she began to describe it the

process ¢ came e back t to me.

You sling the thing
‘around your waist, hooks to

fastened you sling it the
other way. Now with some
wriggling and giggling and
vigorous | squirming you’ ve
got ’er made!

Other - stuff gets easier
too. Making the bed -
well, maybe ‘not apple pie,
but. smoother.’ You. ‘make
one-handed | muffins, . even
> the odd .joke. Occasionally
-you fall into a helpless rage
just’ trying: to get into a
package: of cookies, .
remember that can «happen

with proper limbs on all
four. corners. -

ANIMAL WELFARE COMMITTEE

The North Vancouver City Council is looking for a-
community representative who resides in the City to serve a:
two year term. The meetings are held once every | month i in,

the evening.

The Animal Welfare Committee helps plan and implement .
humane education programming, reviews the problems of.‘
wildlife in North Vancouver, reviews the operation of dog
control bylaws, receives and comments on complaints about “
the Shelter, and plans and offers suggestions on improving
health of animals i in shelters and in disease control.
