Dear North Shore residents,

During Fire Prevention Week, the firefighters of the City of North Vancouver and the Districts
ef North and West Vancouver will be delivering the message ‘Plan to Get Out Alive”.

We strongly sncourage all residents who do no already have a home fire escape plan to draw
one up and have-the family practice using it. Our fire prevention and public education officers
are available to assist you with sample plans. We ask all residents to join us and practice their
escape plans on Oct, 9. Tune in to your TV or radio station at 7 p.m. for the practice alarm.

We need your cooperation in preventing injuries, deaths, and fire loss in our communities.
Here are ways in which you can assist 115:

a. Install smoke alarms and test and clean them regularly.
