Blues undefeated *

THE CAPILANO College Blues
men’s soccer team continued
undefeated in league play with two
wins and two ties over the past two
weekends.

Trinity Western University bat-
tled the Blues to a 2-2 draw on
Saturday in Totem College
Athletic Association (TCAA) ac-
tion.

The Blues went into the game’s
second half with a 2-0 lead on
goals by centre back Ken Harris
and mid-fielder George Gasparo.

Two goals by Trinity’s Brian
Naylor tied the game in the second
half.

On Sunday, the Blues, playing in
the first round of the Pacific Coast
League Challenge Cup, downed
Academico 2 to 0.

Blues centre forwards Dino Cen-
tanni and Paul Zen, who was play-
ing mid-fielder in the game, scored
Capilano’s goals.

On Saturday (Sept. 27), the
Blues blanked BCIT 1-0 in TCAA
action.

The first half of the contest end-
ed in a scoreless tie.

Zen scored the winner in the se-
cond half.

On Sunday, the Blues played
host to Burnaby-Willingdon in

Pacific Coast League action.

The teams fought to a 1-1
deadluck after Burnaby-Will-
ingdon opened the scoring in the
second half.

Ze: tied the game late in the
half.

The Blues remain undefeated in
TCAA play with three wins and
one tie thus far. In PCL action,
the Blues have two wins and one
tie.

Next home game for the Blues
will on Oct. 14 when the team
takes on Vancouver Community
College. Kick off time is scheduled
for 4 p.m.
