small world for Paddy
Culhane of North Van-
couver, who collects
miniatures as a hobby.

The miniature enthusiast
has been an avid collector
and make; of tiny items for
10 years now, and as she
says, ‘I've always been fas-
cinated by small things.’
Culhane will be sharing her
world of miniatures at North
Vancouver City Library Feb.

Officially, she is the
regional coordinator of: the
National Association of
Miniature Enthusiasts, so
her volunteer job includes
promoting ‘the hobby, and
being a source of informa-
tion for craftsmen and col-
lectors.

Culhane’s specialty is
making tiny flowers, which
she trades for other
miniatures, such as delicate
petit point outfits or wooden
furniture. ‘‘We swap within ‘
the club and sell different
items to each other, depen-
ding'‘on one’s specialties.””

B.C. originally formed in
North Vancouver moved to
the Hastings Community
Centre to ‘accommodate
more people, where it meets
once a month,
