They are there to roll out the welcome mat for International Bio Recovery Corporation's (IBR) new recycling plant, which is billed as the missing link by company president Ben Van! North Vancouver District Mayor Don Bell, Vancouver Regional District rep- resentatives, and potential IBR customers learned how the plane can take 50 metric tonnes of biodexradable garbage a day and turn it into organic fertilizer. Until now a test plant nearby operated with a 10 metric tonne capacity. The existing plant, which has a planned capacity of 1300 mets tornes per day, receives organic material from superstores, vex- etable whale and restaurant waste. Van Dk hopes his compa- ny will build similar plants in other jurisdiction “Anywhere there is a garbage problems,” he said. No one is coser to that realization than those whe knew and cared about Aaron Leste. He died last week in an automobile aceident inv North Vancouver. Leslie, FY, was drunk and he was speeding. He was not wearin his seathelt. Now, the North Vancouver teen is dead and those surviving him can't help but chink there’s alesson to be learned there amidst the sadness. “Everything about that is wrong.” said’ Andrea Leste of the horrific errors that led to her brother's death.
