Dr. Ken Dyck is working hard to reach the many West Vancouverites and others who have been untouched by the mainstream churches over the years. They are not new to church planting and believe strongly in the power of prayer. After having successfully planted a church in California in 1973 and another in Ottawa in 1984, it’s easy to see why. Rev. Dyck is a Vancouverite who received a Doctor of Ministries degree at the Fuller Theological Seminary in Caiifor- nia. The church is extending a warm welcome to all. Palm Sunday services celebrated TODAY, PALM Sunday, the churches across the North Shore are coming together.again to cele- brate their unity in Christ, and to begin moving forward together in sharing God’s love. They will be meeting at 7 p.m. in the Capilano College Sportsplex (Parking Lot 1 - 2055 Purcell Way, North Vancouver. One year ago, the North Shore Clergy Prayer Group (NSCPG) sponsored a ‘‘Celebration of Uni- ty’? rally at the Centennial Theatre. People had to be turned away; after over 710 Christians jammed into the theatre. . The high point of the evening was when 22 pastors and priests joined hands together and prayed for God to deepen and restore their love and unity as Christians. At the ‘‘Forward Together’ celebration this year, North Shore Prayer Care will be launched. This will be an opportunity for Chris- tians across the North Shore’ to gather in inter-congregational neighborhood prayer groups. The purpose will be to pray for needs in one’s neighborhood, so that the whole North Shore com- munity will be lifted in prayer. If, for example, a neighbor was sick and asked for prayer, that neighbor would have the oppor- tunity to be supported in prayer by his or her neighbors from all denominations. The NSCPG is also involved with the June 12 March for Jesus. If your congregation is not yet involved, ycu can speak to your pastor/priest and encourage her or him to call the Rev. Peter Biggs at 924-2024 for more information. Even if your congregation is not officially involved in the Forward Together rally, you are welcome to join in tonight at 7 p.m. FRENCH LANGUAGE TRAINING Efficient up-to-date methods All levels - Adults and school students NEW TERM starting APRIL 13 & 14/93 Viliage Square, Suite 202, 1457 Marine Drive West Vancouver (above McDonald’s) Registration: Wednesday, April 7 5-7 p.m. ALLIANCE FRANCAISE Centre for French Studies INFORMATION: 327-0201 North Shore: Ask for our West Van Chapter Is your 6 to 13 year old frustrated with difficulties in reading, writing and other language related skills?
