month in british Columbia and
B.C. Hydro recognizes the
wonderful opportunity available
to participants in the B.C. Fall

Home Show. We will have six
educational modules that explain
the steps in building an energy-
efficient new home or renovating
an existing one to Power Smart
standards,’’ says Busey.

theme area, designed in conjunc-
tion with the Greater Vancouver
Home Builders’ Association, will

mean cost-savings without giving

and that’s Power Smart.”’

Power Smart, B.C. Hydro’s

energy-efficiency campaign has as
its goal the saving of 5,600 million
kilowatt hours of electricity an-
nually by the year 2010.

“That’s enough energy to pro-
vide power for 560,600 new B.C.
homes," says Busey.

Additional features of the 1991
B.C. Fall Home Show include
Decorama Interiors’ Design
Theatre, Cooking Shows, the New
Products showcase starring the
latest and greatest innovative pro-
ducts for home renovations, the

popular Ail Star Dogs, and ‘‘How
To”’ seminars for novices wanting
to undertake new projects.

The 1991 B.C. Fall Home Show
is Oct. 17 to 20, at B.C. Place.
Show hours are 4 to 10 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 17, 10 a.m. to 10
p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18
and 19, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 20.
