GARDENERS ACROSS the North Shore will be planting their summer gardens this month. Some plants to
consider are gladioli and dahlias (pictured) or other exciting summer-flowering bulbs such as canna, eucomis,
freesia, day lilies, ixia, crocosmia, oxalis, ranunculus, tigridia and calia lilies.

Capilano and Grand Boulevard
areas and the prize-winning garden
is located in Bayridge.

The homes range from landmark
to stunning contemporary in style

Visitors will enjoy the personal
creativity which marks the interior

and gardens of each home.

The NSVIC has two main func-
tions: to provide up-to-date com-
munity information and referral,
and to coordinate and promote
volunteer service.

Although the NSIVC, a United
Way member agency, receives
funding from the municipai and
federal governments, it never-
theless relies heavily on revenue
raised by its volunteers through
events like the home and garden

tour.
