This year 3,500 Vancouverites ies join together in the multi- urpose hall in the Trade and Convention Centre at Canada Place. Everyone is welcome at the Quest for Peace celebration. The event begins at 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30 with speakers and performers. At 4 a.m. individuals, groups and religious congregations are asked to pray, meditate, and form a common bond for peace on Earth and goodwill for all — and then to carry that idea into the coming ear. Admission is by donation. Quest for Peace was inspired by the United Nations and the Planetary Peace Commission.
