Sports TRACK AND FIELD NorWesters' members considered outstanding FOUR MEMBERS of the North Shore's NorWesters Track & Field Club won awards as the most outstanding athletes in their respective age. groups at the Cheetah Invitational Track & Field Meet held recently at Swangard Stadium. To be considered for the award, athletes were required to compete in a minimum of two track events and two field events. NorWester winners included Luke Meyer, 16, who finished first in the high jump, long jump, shot put, 100- metre dash and third in the 400 metres. Norwester Kahleia Crane, 14, finished first in the 100 metres, se- cond in the 80-metre hurdles and 200-metre dash, third in the high jump and discus and fifth in the long jump. NorWester Jeff Sharma, 11, won his award after finishing first in the shot put, second in the 80- metre hurdles, 400-metre run ai:d 800-metre run, and third in the long jump. Nine-year-old Catherine Lee, who finished first in the 800-metre event and high jump, second in the NV MEN'S FASTBALL Tugs trips Yic’s RECENT ACTION in the North Vancouver Men's Fastball League produced a barrage of home runs that began in Tugs 8-0 win over Yic's.
