IT WAS a great day for
a race Sunday as the
North Shore News Sail-
ing Race kicked off its
10th year on the water.
Fifty-one boats crossed
the starting line and
completed the 17-
nautical-mile course. A
close race most of the
way, the eventual win-
ner came close to
breaking the record.
