Approximately 2,000 people turned out to join in the celebration this year, Featured events includ- e@ face painting, sidewalk bistros, cruises up Indian Arm and (ug-o- war and volleyball competitions. The biggest event of the day was the Canadian National Mountain Bike Championships, which attracted 45 racers. Deep Cove's James Liedel, 15, won the race's junior division. Disco ag ed?
