Don Mowatt, executive
producer of features for CBC
Radio.

From that association
came the documentary
program “Peniel”, produced
by Mowatt in CBC Radio's
Hornby Collection . Series.
The title is taken from
Genesis 32:30 in which
Jacob fought in the dark with
an unknown adversary. In
the morning Jacob said he
had seen the face of God and
so named the place of his _
battle Peniel. |

The program recorded the
inner world of the cancer
victim in Vancouver's
Maxwell Evans Clinic as
Regina interviewed her
doctors, nurses, fellow
patients and her mother --
and was herself interviewed
by Mowatt as she underwent
treatment procedures.
