.G. double-A champions

PERENNIAL powerhouses’ Collingwood and Argyle
once again dominated North Shore field hockey
league action.
Collingwood went undefeated throughout the regular season (8-0-1),
while Argyle went 8-1 — their sole lose coming at the hands of the
Cavaliers. In the North Shore final the West Vancouver private schoo!
edged Argyle 1-0 to win the tide. The Cavaliers then went on to cap-
ture the B.C. double-A crown for the second straight year, while the
Pipers placed second at the provincial double-A championship.

Shore senior girls’ field hockey
coaches without regard to the
positions played (i.e. there was
no attempt to have a certain
number of forwards, midfield-
ers etc.) or to the classification
of their school (ic. single-A,
double-A, triple-A). Selection
is based on consistency and
ability in skill, teamwork,
sportsmanship and leadership
in school competition.
