Another accused man who pleaded guilty on Monday to a drinking and driving charge told the judge, “Well, what can I say, T got caught drunk.” Stanislaw Tonderys spoke through a Polish interpreter. He told the judge he was not an alcoholic and had not drunk any alcohol this month. Crown lawyer Mulligan said Tonderys was spotted on Oct. 6 by “civilians” who reported that a van was weaving erratically over, white lines on the Trans Canada Highway and on the 15th Street exit. The West Vancouver Police pulled the van over in the 600-block of Marine Drive. “As he stepped out of the van, a quarter full bottle of Silent Sam vodka fell out,” said the Crown lawyer.
