with guilty gusto.

Purchased one year ago from
the original Honey’s proprietor,
this doughnut and sweets shop
was revamped and expanded

Honey’s owners Viad and Eva
Pabis.

The shop specializes in such
Euro-goodies as Streussle ($1.45),
Scones ($1.45) and homemade
potato bread (33 per Ioai).

It also serves cappuccinos and
other steamed milk beverages.

But the shop's fame has been
built on the solid joundation of the
Rolly-Polly, a special honey-soak-
ed European doughnut made
without yeast ($1.10).

The Rolly is shaped like an all-
terrain vehicle tire with an ap-
propriate caloric heft.

Honey’s recent overhaul has
added about 20 seats and an out-
door dining patio in which to
dispatch worldly cares over a cate
latte and a brace of Rolly Pollies.

locals awake.

Perfect Blends’ monu is a mix of
light entrees and sandwiches pric-
ed primarily under $5. Open from
7 a.m. to 10 p.m. through the
week. Open from 8 a.m. to 12
p.m. Friday and Saturday.

from the above location. In adai-
tion to its coffee specialties, Bean
There serves a selection of
pastries, cookies, date squares and
other baked goods.

Single servings are priced at
around $1.50.

The cafe’s closing time has been
6 p.m., but management plans to
extend its hours to 10 p.m. later

Club Cafe, which opened in
mid-May and serves a lunch and
light dinner menu.

The Club’s menu is pretty basic:
its prices are similarly un-
complicated and inexpensive.

Main lunch items will leave
change from a sawbuck for most
diners: a selection of croissant
sandwiches ranges from $5.50 up
to $5.95 with soup of the day
thrown in for another $1.

Pasta of the Day goes for $5.95,
and an order of Chicken Teriyaki
with a cucumber sushi roll and
choice of fresh fruit salad sells for
$6.45.

Dinner entrees range from $5.95
for a Hot Croissant stuffed with
Shrimp and served with french
fries or potato salad up to $12.95
for a New York Steak with Bread-
ed Prawns.

Most of the Club’s nine entrees
are under $9.

It’s licensed for beer and wine,
and closed on Sundays.
