Next month North Vancouver
residents will judge whether this
public’ artwork gives them a
sense of their identity.

The artist himself says he is en-
couraged by the response he’s had
but at the same time recognizes
that his work may not appeal to
everyone.

The important thing, he says, is
that Vancouver — or Canada, for
that mater — begin investing
more in art for the people.

“Peogle should need art and
knew more about it because it’s
important for Canada’s cultural
future,” he says.
