peared in North and West Van-
couver provincial courts recently to
face various charges laid against
them.

Before Judge R.D. Grandison in
North Vancouver provincial court
on Jan. 15:

Dimitrios Xylinas received a
conditional discharge and was
placed on probation for six months
after the 46-year-old North Van-
couver man pleaded guilty to
breaching a court order.

Before Judge J.L. McCarthy in
North Vancouver provincial court
on Jan. 11:

Gary Richard Brolley received a
conditional discharge and was
placed on probation for nine
months after the 41-year-old North
Vancouver man was found guilty
of assault in connection with a
Sept. 25, 1989 incident.

Before Judge R.D. Grandison in
North Vancouver provincial court
on Jan. 10:

Ben Anthony Hagman and
Fergus Paul Walther received con-
ditional discharges and were placed
on predation for six months after
the tsvo North Vancouver men,
both 18, pleaded guilty to theft of
a blue three-speed bicycle and a
yellow BRC mountain bike in
connection with an Aug. 5, 1989
incident.

Hagman and Walther were ordered
to complete 75 hours of communi-
ty work and to each pay the owner
of the bikes $195.45 in compensa-
tion.

Nigel Andrew Stentiferd was
fined $100 after the 25-year-old
North Vancouver man_ pleaded
guilty to theft under $1,000 in
connection with a Sept. 26, 1989
theft of a licence plate in the
Langley area.

Before Judge J.K. Shaw in West
Vancouver provincial court on
Jan. 10:

Cameron Gin Siu received a
conditional discharge and was
placed on probation for one year
after the 26-year-old West Van-
couver man pleaded guilty to
possessing a narcotic in connection
with an Oct. 10, 1989 incident in
which a quantity of marijuana was
seized.

Before Judge J.L. McCarthy in
North Vancouver provincial court
on Jan. 9:

John Gordon Montgomery was
fined $500 and was placed on pro-
bation for two years after the 18-
year-old North Vancouver man
pleaded guilty to break and enter
in connection with an Aug. 2, 1989
incident in which a residence in the
400-block of West 24th Street was
brcken into.

North Vancouver provincial court
on Jan. 9:

Kenneth Higgs was fined $500
after the 49-year-old West Van-
couver man pleaded guilty to
operating the M.S. Larain in the
Strait of Juan de Fuca July 12,
1989 without having on board
