Automobile Associa- tion is alerting parents of young children that over 7,000 units of the Cosco Auto Trac child restraint that have been distributed across Canada have a potential safety defect. The Cosco Auto Trac has a retractable harness system which should automatically adjust to fit ‘the child. However, the webbing guides on the Auto Trac are too narrow and don’t allow the harness to rétract fully, leaving too much slack in the shoulder straps.
