Security guard slashed at store A LONDON Drugs security guard was slashed in the face late Thursday morning after he tried to arrest a suspected shoplifter. RCMP Set. Russell Ayerst said the guard had approached the male suspect outside the Lonsdale Avenue store at 11:23 a.m. and had subsequently been slashed across the left cheek with a small pocket knife wielded by the suspect. The suspect then fled in a late model Datsun. The security guard was taken to Lions Gate Hospital, where he was treated for a three to four inch cut across the cheek and released. Police are investigating the incident. A spokesman for London Drugs declined comment. Supreme Court by Sunshine realtor Shirley May Cook claim that Bartlett owes two months’ rent of $2,500 per month on a home at 910 Pyrford Road. Cook also claims that, in addition to the rent, Bartlett left $1,200° worth of damage to the house after he moved out in July, Bartlett’s lease, according to Cook, ran from April 1, 1985 to Nov. 1, 1986 and required six jnotths termination notice. Armed robbers hit NV business LEE’S MARKETERIA, on Lonsdale Avenue, was the scene of an armed robbery Nov. 15 around 5 p.m. North Vancouver RCMP said twe men, approximately 20- years-old, entered the store and produced a hand gun. . The robbers took $150, before fleeing southbound on Lonsdale. RCMP are continuing the investigation. Fire injuries claim senior A WEST Vancouver senior citizen, involved in a house fire Oct. 4, died recently as a resull of injuries received from the fire.
