The only restriction is that they must be women, since Aichi Gakusen is one of the oldest women's schools in Japan. That College and Cap set up a special relationship in 1983 to allow for exchanges, and so far we have hosted two classes of English language immersion students for three weeks, and they have hosted two of our students for a term. The two Capilano students will each receive a return air ticket, and a scholarship of 720,000 yen (that’s about $3,000 U.S.) They will take a special program of studies § and in return will assist the Aichi Gakusen faculty in teaching _ conversational English-The | curriculum of the Japanese college — focuses on international education, early childhood education, nutritional studies, fine arts, fashion design, and textiles.
