funded

THE federal Health
Minister recently
announced that the
government is provid-
ing funding to support
a youth suicide preven-
tion show called ICE:
beyond cool.

The show is expected tw
tour across Canada in the com-
ing months.

a live show using rock music
and dance to shed light on
issues of youth suicide through
the stories, experiences and
words of young people,
according to Health Canada.

Health Canada is providing
$100,000 in funding to the
show through the Population
Health Fund. ,

The goal of the Population
Health Fund, which has an
annual budget of $14 million,
is to increase community
capacity for action on the
determinants of health,
according to a Health Canada
