Fire claims man AN ELDERLY North Vancouver man died at Vancouver Genera} Hospital Nov. 16 from burns suffered when mak- ing his morning pot of coffee eartier in the day. North Vancouver District Fire Services Deputy Chief Bruce Ramsay said the man, who was in his 70s, was apparently making coffee when he reached over his elec- tric range and his loose-fitting clothing touched an ele- ment, catching fire. He was found in his Hamber Court home by a neighbor. Ramsay said the victim was taken to the Vancouver General Hospital burn ward suffering from extensive second- and third-degree burns over 65% of his hody. He died in hospital. Meanwhile the constable said his checking of one of two police data bases failed to turn up information about Henderson. Henderson was flagged as a dan- ger in one data base.
