OSBORNE - Gerald. It is with great
sadness we announce that Gerry passed

' away suddenly on Wednesday, February

25, 1994. Predeceased by his father Ar-
thur George and mother vy Gladys. He
will be lovingly remembered by his sister
Julie Ann Taylor, and his many relatives
in England. Gerald is susvived by his lov-
ing wife Elizabeth (leita), and sons lay
and Mars. He will also be greatly missed
by his Canadian family, especially the
Meikle’s uf Sidney, and the MacKenzie's
of West Vancouver and “special daugh-
ter” Belinda Fox of Montreal, and many,
many superb friends, No service by re-
quest. .

SMART - Lieutenant Colonel George
Wallace, age 94, peacefully on Friday,
February 25, 1994 in Lions Gate Hospi-
tal, North Vancouver. He was oredeceas-
ed by his daughter Joa Georgiana
Wallace Hartman and husband Faye. He
is survived by his wife Joan Madeleine;
daughter Mary Wallace Caple . and
granddaughters, Joanne, Karen and Ler
faine, and four great-grandsons; grand-
son Jun Wallace Hartrnan and wife Gaye
and Jon's parents Gordon and Helen
Hartinan and -brothers and sister and
two great-grandchildren; daughter Jane
Wallace Reid and husband Mike and
grandsons Andrew and Rod Cordy-Simp-
son, (Flashman too), daughter Anne
Wallace Jackson and husband Pete and
grandson Graham, (Peg and Bee too).

George wes born in Port Hope, Ontario,
July 16, 1899. He graduated from the
University of Toronto in’ Electrical
Engineering. He served in World War |
and World War il with the Royal Cana-
dian Corp of Signals. Ke was a member
of the Boy Scouts of Canada for many
ears and was still active at the time of

chis death. He was Regional Commis-

sioner for the Vancouver Coast Region
for nine years and was awarded the
Silver Acorn January 22, 1968. He serv-
ed as Rectors Warden at Christ Church
Cathedral. He was Secretary Treasurer of
the West Vancouver School Board for 15
years, during that time he was the
Chairman of the Committee that built
the original West Vancouver Memorial
Library, Gearge was one of the many Sea
Wall walkers, he enjoyed family gather.
