North Shore Community services pro-
vides, as part of their servires, volunteer
information and referrals to persons in-
terested in volunteering on the Noth
Shore. As part of our agency mandate to
integsate vulnerable and isolated adults
into the community, we are developing a
referral service specifically for persons
with mental handicaps who wish to vol-
untees. The Volunteer Support Worker
will be responsible for interviewing,
placing and supporting these volunteers
tn their volunteer positions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent interpersonal and som-
munication skills, both written and ver-

bal.

Completion of relevant two year college
diploma program.

-Experience working with people with
mental handicaps either in the area of
fifeskills of vocational training.
-Experience in the voluntary sector ei-
ther as a volunteer or staff person.
