They have been playing together
for the past two years and their
team work recently paid off when
they shared $103,804.70 0 after
matching five winning numbers
plus the bonus number during the
May 29 draw.

The group of 1 play the Lotto
6/49 “quick pick’ every Wednes-
day and Saturday nights.

“YS just happened to be watching
the news and when the numbers
came up E grabbed iny copy of the
numbers,’” said Ruth leaker, who
claimed the prize on behalf of the
group.

“| was quite excited when [ saw
we had five plus the bonus, bur I
really didn’t realize it would be
that much. | figured it would be
about $5,000 to split between the
{6 of us.”"

Each week Leaker’s co-worker,
Agnes Fallon, collects $2 from
each group member and purchases
16 tickets for the two weekly Lot-
to 6/49 draws. Fallon then pro-
vides cach member with a
photocopy of the tickets in case
they want to cheek the winning
numbers.

The ICBC employees have won
several smaller prizes in the past
on Lotto 6/49; they reinvested
those winnings in more tickets.

“It used to be 48 people but that’s
