tremendously, says Curtis, ‘‘it’s a
great advantage to our investors.”

are now in the midst of attracting
investors to a new $5 million,
five-movie package. So far, Curtis
and Simandl have pre-sold over $2
million of their product, enough to
begin production on their first two
movies — XTRO Two and the
mystery-thriller Silhouette.

While North American Releas-
ing has managed to negotiate an
American theatrical for XTRO
Two, Curtis isn’t banking all his
hopes on its success, ‘‘It does raise
the profile of the film, but if I
doa’t make a dollar on it, it won’t
bother me — home videos are
where we'll make our money.’’
