TRANSIT I am writing to register a very strong complaint about the bus service from Vancouver to Upper Lonsdale. Today, after a morning shopp- ing, I caught the No. 240 bus from downtown at 12:22 p.m. Accor- ding to the bus schedule this should have arrived at 15th Street and Lonsdale at 12:52 p.m., giving me three minuies to catch the No. 230 hus scheduled to leave 15th and Lonsdal at 12:55. When the No. 240 bus arrived at 15th and Lonsdale there was an Upper Lonsdale bus standing at the northbound bus stop. The driver of the No. 230 bus obviously knew that the No, 240 bus was there, and almost certainly saw three people running to catch his bus. His action showed a com- plete disregard for the comfort or convenience of the travelling public. This is by no means the first time this has happened to me and. others. 1 would appreciate your comments, together with an assurance that steps will be taken to ensure that Upper Lonsdale res- idents who attempt to return from Vancouver by bus wil! not find it such a tedious, inconvenient and exhausting process as | found it today.
