IT’S ONLY Sunday and it’s already been a

tough weekend.

In Lions Bay they’ve
been through a wash-out and
a Car-train accident.

And, on Howe Sound,
they’ve rescued an injured
boater and are now looking
for people who have fallen
overboard.

Fortunately, all that ac-
tivity is in the form of
disaster exercises, simulated
emergencies that sharpen the

car-train collision Saturday
at noon.

Meanwhile, members of
unit six of the Canadian
Marine Rescue Auxiliary
scrambled Saturday night to
a distress call from Indian
Arm where they ‘‘rescued”’ a
unit member done up as a
boating accident victim.

That exercise ended about
2 a.m. this morning. After
