prepare to launch the latest phase in their battle
with the Metro Operating Transit Company for a

new contract.

On Monday,
paper tokens will be
distributed to commuters,
who will be encouraged to
drop them into fare boxes
along with their bus fares.

Latest move in un-strike

Solidarity announced the
token campaign as its way of
supporting the bus drivers.

Colin Kelly, president of
the umion that represents the
drivers and other operating
staff, said that if the token
protest does not lead to a
resumption of negotiations
with the bus company, the
only alternative left to the
union will be a full-fledged
strike.
