AS WINTER settles in, the
Real Estate Board of
Greater Vancouver reports
that sales activity has
cooled somewhat from the
busier summer months.

The board reports
November sales of 1,830 resi-
dential units, down 14% from
2,128 sales in October. Average
prices for residential units
increased slightly in November
to $302,214, up from $285,513
in October.

“While average prices
increased 5.5% on residential
homes,” says board president
Allan Corbett, “the outlook for
new home buyers locks promis-
ing with low mortgage rates
forecasted and a heal:hy inven-
tory of homes to choose from.”
There were 3,601 new residen-
tial listings added in November
for a total inventory of 16,920.

November, a 10% decline from
