And some: times | feel ve got a few different personalities, so maybe that's it too.” Deadline nearing for New Piay Centre competition GCTOBER 31 is the deadline for the New Play Centre’s annual One Act Play Competition. Four plays will be selected for production in Springrites 92, a festival of new plays and play- wrights held each year in March. Over the years, the competi- tion has been a launching pad for the careers of some of Canada’s foremost dramatists. To be eligible, plays must be original, unproduced works that require a maximum of four ac- tors and have a running time of no longer than one hour. Playwrights must be B.C. resi- BILTON’S ay dents. Typed submissions must in- clude a self-addressed stamped postcard. Manuscripts will be returned only if a stamped manuscript envelope is included. The pleys will be read by a panel of theatre professionals. The finalists will be read by up to five different readers. Winners will be announced by Jan. 15, 1992.
