While the walkers will walk, sailors, boaters, kayakers, canoeists and fishermen will float their messages of peace and con- cerns for the environment, from the rendezvous point at Kitsilano Beach, under the Burrard Street Bridge, into False Creek. Registration for the derby is from 6:30 to 10 a.m. at the West Van McDonald's, where the kids can also enjoy free hotcakes. The weigh-in is at {1:30 a.m. followed by awards. The popular Galiano Trio will entertain the crowds with nautical tunes at 11:30 a.m., and you'll hear shanty tunes and see Morris dancers throughout the day. At noon, an address by Mayor Don Lanskail will acknowledge all the government, corporate and private individuals who contributed to the development of this site.
