LIONS GATE Hospital has reduc- ed visiting hours in its maternity ward following a maternity patient satisfaction survey conducted dur- ing the summer. The survey indicated many mothers were unhappy with the liberal visiting hours in the ward’s post-partum area. Effective immediately, the new visiting hours for the post-partum area are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily for the mother’s partner and her children and 11 a.m, to noon and 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for close fami- ly and friends over the age of 16. Visiting hours for parents with babies in the hospital’s special care nursery and for support persons in the labor delivery area will re- main 24 hours per day. The hospital opened up materni- ty visiting hours a year ago in the belief that parents would prefer to control the number of visiting guests. But new mothers have found it difficult to restrict visitor flow. “IMPORTANT NOTICE - HOLIDAY DEADLINES With the upcoming Remembrance Day holiday, advertising deadlines will change in our Display and Classified Advertising Departments.
