CHILDREN'S AUDITIONS

THE REDESIGNED Bach
Children’s Chorus is accepting
auditions through September for
singers aged eight to [5-years-old.

The Vancouver Bach Children’s
Chorus, its training choirs and the
new senior division start rehearsals
for the new season Sept. 9.

Under the musical direction of
Bruce Pullan, the chorus and
seniors work in central Vancouver,
while the training choirs meet in
Vancouver, East Vancouver and

on the North Shore with their own
conductors.

The newly formed senior divi-
sion is open to children with un-
changed voices up to 15 years of
age. The other choirs include boys
and girls eight to 13 years.

The training choirs work in-
dependently, giving their own per-
formances and preparing the
younger singers for entry into the
chorus.

The chorus itself has an active
year ahead including Christmas

concerts with the Vancouver Sym-
phony Orchestra, its own Festival
of Children's Choirs and par-
ticipation in performances with the
Vancouver Bach Choir.
