In case you didn’t catch it, some guy made up to look lke you said he could have won the last election’ Then he threatened to make a com- eback if people didn’t quit blaming him for the collapse of the Liberal party! | mean, REALLY!! Funny? It had to be the best comedy act I’ve seen ina long time! My only criticism was that they overdid the make-up which tended to make him look older than you. However, he had the nasal whine in your yoice down toa ‘'T’’! ‘ His control was beautiful! Didn't break up once! Me? Murray Dykeman Alderman North Van District Many backed CARE Dear Editor 1 would Itke to thank all who supported me during my recent campaign for School Trustee. Even though there have been accusations that lawyers, secretanes, etc., ec , who were concerned enough about the education of our children to devote their time, energy and financial support Whatever the outcome of was rolling on the floor! My wife, bless her heart, came in during his act and figared it was for real. She ran to the bathroom and threw up. After [f got her calmed down | pointed out that another guy had the same idea 170 years ago. Chap name of Bonaparte. He got exiled too, not to a posh law firm in Montral but to a place called Elba — a nice little island in the Tyrrhenian Sea just off the Italian coast. He treaily had it made. Unfor- tunately, he got a touch of the smarts, thought he could make a comeback -— and escaped. As | explained to the wife, the ‘‘second coming’’ lasted yust one hundred days. Within three short months he became the first guy in history "to meet his Waterloo’’ as they say! After that it was all downhill for old Boneface! Forced into retirement a second time, he was sent to St. Helena in the Indian ocean, (Elba must have been booked for the season!) It was on St. Helena that his luck which had never been too rosy at the best of tuumes, became the absolute pits! Rumour has it his friends fed him arsenic tll he 986-5510 984-7343 140 E. 14th Suite #134 SHEEPSKIN : ~ . .
