JUDY Ainsworth, the
North Vancouver
Chamber of
Commerce president,
was elected president
of the British
Columbia Chamber
Executives Association
on Oct. 3.

In her address to t
Chamber E
Association, Ainsworth said:
“It is our responsibility to
help shape the business lead-
ers and to take a leadership
role in the community.”

Ainsworth served as pres-
ident of the Chamber of
Commerce Executives of
Canada in 1994 and was
chosen as its executive of the
year in 1993.

She has served the North
Vancouver Chamber of
Commerce as a member
since 1979 and as its chief
executive officer since 1989,

Naomi Yamamoto,
another North Vancouver
chamber executive member,
is the chairman of the B.C.
Chamber of Commerce.
